Sometimes patience wears thin after being constantly rubbed at
Just like threads that fray and finally break
And just like the rocks that finally become sand.

Sometimes people avert their face,
Then turn away,
And finally go.

So where does that leave us then?
For they have no eyes to see, nor ears to hear, nor minds to perceive,
Or so it seems.

But who knows?
One day the already flickering light may falter,
And leave
Us
Cold.

We simply do what we think seems best in our eyes, and may God grant us wisdom and a heart of discernment.

Thank you for all your love.
Thank you for helping me to know our Father God that much better.
Thank you for every intentional thing that you do.

Thank you for praying for me, and with me.
Thank you for worshiping with me, and teaching me so much more about worship.
Thank you for always pointing me to our God.

Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for your steadfastness.
Thank you for your encouragement.

For every decision that you made (and continually make) to love, and to give, thank you.

Lord, I give thanks. Help me to keep my eyes always focused on you, in times that are turning, in a world that is filled with trouble and turmoil.

There are many things that I can challenge myself to do and probably successfully accomplish, but I don't think this leaving thing is one of them.

I start work at the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) tomorrow. As much as I feel really lazy about starting work, I am excited. I really am! I believe that this will be a period of revelation and growing.

Right now there are many directions that I can take, some seemingly more glamorous than others, but. I want to ask for Your perfect direction. I want to ask for Your perfect leading. It's only you who knows my destiny, and only you who will make me bloom and be called beautiful.

Sometimes I think about my calling, giftings, and portion and I think, have I got them wrong?
Where's the line between perseverance and blind persistence?

Perhaps sometimes we worry too much that our pristine images will be marred. This makes us become a little paranoid, and sometimes a little bit over. Threats to our carefully built empire must be swiftly and decisively eradicated. But is that always the way?

Sometimes we forget that in the first place, we are all marred, and the only reason we are where we are is because of sheer grace. We forget that in the first place, the empire we build was not ours but His.

The kingdom of God is made up of broken people who have been healed; people who have experienced salvation and grace. It is made up of real people, with real hearts, and real lives. This means they had once fallen, and still fall, but are still being saved, and are still experiencing his truth and grace.

Sometimes we must take heed lest we become like the Pharisees. Because the way of Jesus is the way of compassion, that finds itself in both truth and grace.
